Who we are

Line29 = Roel Gommans & Jules Reivers

Roel and Jules met each other at high school in the mid 90’s. Sharing the same interest for electronic music and music production. Not long after that they decided to merge their two separate bedroom studios into one big studio, stuffed with analog gear and a big old crackly mixing desk. The only after-school activities back then were composing, recording mixing, just for fun! In that same period, together with two friends they started the collective/band called Unyx. They released a couple of ep’s and an album.

Some years went by and in the early 00’s, Roel and Jules both dropped out of college. Trying to set up a studio again, this time more serious. Trying to make a living out of creating music, they pitched some music for tv-ads. As they succeeded, many more projects, and years, went by.

Now, it’s 2022. Line29 has just finished building a beautiful new studio in the centre of Venray. We keep on going with what we do best: composing original music and sound design for moving image!
